Southampton to welcome back Anthem of the Seas in 2020….

Such fantastic news for those Royal Caribbean fans who like to sail from Southampton, in 2020 you will be able to experience all that Anthem of the Seas has to offer. I really do think it’s a fantastic move from Royal Caribbean to homeport Anthem in Southampton once again, it’s something we’ve been waiting for since 2015 when Anthem was last in Southampton and at last you can sail again on this amazing Quantum Class ship from the UK

Anthem of the Seas, as you may already know, is a huge ship measuring 348 metres in length, 167, 800 tons with 16 passenger decks. It gives you an idea of the sheer size, she carries around 4180 passengers on board and 760 crew members!

Anthem is packed with so many exciting things to do on board, so many exciting venues and so much choice for her passengers.

Some of my favourites features include…North Star…..this is where you get into a viewing pod which takes you up 300 ft above sea level! There is Rip Cord….nothing less than skydiving whilst at sea…highly recommended I loved it when I tried it at IFly.  On board is SeaPlex…this is the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex you will find on a cruise ship, you can try bumper cars, roller skating and take part in the circus school complete with flying trapeze classes! Not forgetting FlowRider, the Rock Climbing wall, Ice skating and so much more.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough not only will there be Anthem of the Seas from Southampton for 2020 sailing alongside her will be Independence of the Sea. Two firm favourites from the fleet and this is going to give those passengers who prefer to sail rather than fly more choice than ever. With the two ships sailing from Southampton the number of passengers potentially sailing will be well over 8000!!! We are waiting for the itineraries to be released, this is happening tomorrow and we are expecting huge interest and lots of early bookings.
