Me, Myself & Cruise….

I’m not sure about the exact percentages but my 2 year old daughter is a mix of English, Spanish, Italian & Welsh….

My name is Abbi Varela and as you can probably guess from my surname, the Spanish percentage comes from me along with the English, and the Welsh/Italian comes from my partner Martin. My daughter Sofia Lily is the perfect mix.

My love to travel I think comes from my family background, as a child I spent long summers in the North of Spain with my father’s side of the family and since being small have always loved anything related to travel. I have been involved in the travel industry for as long as I can remember and  have spent a lot of years living abroad in different countries and experiencing different cultures. For now I am settled back home in Manchester with my little family and my travelling adventures have been on hold for a while…the only flying we have done for the past 2 years is on the swings at the park.

Sofia is all ready for her first holiday as you can see from her photo…she insists on wearing her sunglasses pretty much all of the time… she has already caught her mummy’s travel bug and love for the sun.

I’m hoping her first family holiday is going to be a cruise, I can’t wait to see her little face light up as she sees her very first cruise ship!

I’ve been very lucky and have been on many cruise ships, the last one the Independence of the Seas was with Martin. It was the very first time he had cruised and we had an amazing time. I often think back to this cruise and now I can picture it being Sofia’s very first cruise too.

I’m new to the company and just wanted to tell you a little about me and my family,  I hope that you are going to enjoy reading my weekly blogs as much I will enjoy writing them.  Although it’s my first week with cruise.co.uk I have been a Cruise Specialist for the past 7 years. I truly love the travel industry and cruise is my opinion the most exciting part of it. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and cruise experiences with you here on my website and of course finding out all about your cruise adventures and thoughts too….
