Brain waves? Perhaps not reading these amusing cruise questions..

I’ve worked in the cruise industry for a long time now and during my time I have seen and heard many stories. For anyone that knows me I am forever asking questions that make people laugh, the questions just seem to slip out. These are some of my favourite questions that made me smile asked by cruise passengers..

“Will this elevator take me to the front of the ship?”

photo lift

It’s hard to believe that anyone could ask this, but in full swing holiday mode, possibly after a cocktail or two..maybe?

“Do these stairs go up or down?”

stairs

I have to be fair on this one, as this could possibly have been the position of the passenger so you can see where the confusion may have come from. What do you think?

“How far are we above sea level?”

tall ship

Maybe not as obvious as the other questions but still rather amusing. An example would be the Quantum of the Seas which stands 303 ft above sea level.

“Does the crew sleep on board?”

crew

Not sure where else the crew would sleep….

“How do we know which photographs are ours?”

our photo

Surely you would only want photos of yourself.

“What time is the mid-night buffet?”

I don’t think there is much excuse for this one…surely there is only one time it could be, unless you are in Iceland and night is day!

“Is there music in the disco?”

silnet disco

I’ve heard of a silent disco so maybe this is what the person asking this question meant. Will give them the benefit of the doubt this time.

“Has this ship ever sunk?”

sinking ship

Before I go on a cruise the first thing I check is that the ship hasn’t sunk before…

My favourite of all..”I have an outside cabin, does that mean I will get wet when it rains?”

outside cabin

“Outside” cabin, the wording is misleading so maybe you could get away with that one!

Whatever your cruise question maybe, whether it be the most simple or most complicated let me know , or if you have some funny questions that you or your family or friends have asked them drop me a line I’d love to hear them.
