This legislation will cover all travel insurance companies. A nice get out clause for them, for expats My advice would be to Google, expat travel insurance, as there are a few companies from the UK who may do a policy for you.

Just curious, but if you're happy to live in Spain, what's wrong with a Spanish insurance company?

Many thanks. I have a couple of possibles. In answer to Molyneux; we use Spanish insurance companies for car and home insurance but we used Staysure based on recommendations. We will use a Spanish one if we have to but I would still ask friends etc. to try and get recommendations. Based on our experience so far on our car and house insurance in Spain we found Mapfre excellent but Linea Direct were dire!
