From the Royal Caribbean website. As a result of the change in homeport, Royal Caribbean has begun informing guests that had cruises booked on Independence of the Seas from Southampton in 2020 that their sailings are canceled. ... As a result of the change, Independence of the Seas will remain in the Caribbean instead of sailing to Southampton in 2020.

Royal Caribbean have removed this ship from UK/Europe, and she will now be based in the Caribbean. Another case of corporate greed with no regard to customers.

Independence will not sail from Southampton in 2020. Anthem is (currently) the only ship scheduled to be based in Southampton. There is a current promo offering free drinks packages for these sailings.

RCI have relocated Independence to sail out of FLL and do short cruises to Coco Cay. This was announced on May 9th. Anthem is the RCI ship in Southampton in 2020.
