Travel irons a regarded a fire hazard, hence they are a banned item.

Irins are not a fure hazard. That is the excuse made. Rhet are banned just like alcohol so that you will pay the on board extortionate fees for pressing farments !

Probably. As far as I know, no cruise line permits travel irons.

Any electrical appliance that is not regularly PAT tested is a fire hazard, particularly something like an iron which could easily start a fire accidentally. Is it really worth risking life (yours or other peoples?) .

Definetly yes.we were bording on the costa and one of our lagage was missing.went to the reception desk and than kept the iron till the last day .
