None of the cruise lines have published to that effect, but more & more are moving towards 'outside only'. Not sure which camp your coming from, but if it's the pro side I suggest you try the Italian Ships as although they have smoking rules in place they are, in the main, completely ignored by passengers & crew alike......Wilba.

Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by Noakes (05 Feb 09 18:22)

Most people know that I hate smoking and it's effect but I see no current move towards a total ban. Limited outside smoking and one dedicated part of one lounge seems to be the agreed option by most cruise lines.I was talking to one just the other day and it was mentioned that this limitation does not seem to have created a problem with bookings or with complaints by smokers so it is likely to stay there at least for a while. .......Neil.

More on Indy and I am sorry.

By Josephine Wright

I’m finally back I apologize profusely to all my customers who thought I was only going to be off for a week and must admit so did I. I have had a small operation on my shoulder that turned out to be a little bit more painful than I thought it would be but now I’m back and raring to go, So to pick up where I left off, I did promise some more details on Independence of the Seas from when I was on board and the next bit is going to be all about that. So what did we do while we were ...

So here we have the final instalment of my Independence of the Seas tales. I promised I would tell you a little more about the new eateries onboard Indy since her spruce up and I can assure you, what she has to offer will not disappoint. I am ashamed to admit that whilst onboard for just 3 days I made it my mission to sample everything I could….and came home 5lb heavier!!! You may be thinking thats easy done, but honestly I was naughty. Lunch in Playmakers at around 1 and by 2.30 we wer...
