No and yes. Buy booze ashore and smuggle it through security for use in your cabin - not usually confiscated.

Generally alcohol bought ashore can be carried on board and comsumed in your cabin. DUTY FREE bought on board will be delivered to your cabin just befroe the end of your cruise.

When you take alcohol on board princess cruise ships it is taken from you and your name and cabin number are put on it. It is given to you the evening before you leave so that you can pack it, you cannot drink your own alchol on the ship.

If the cruise company's didn't charge so much it wouldn't be necessary for people to smuggle alcohol on board. They are just to greedy and probably in the long run losing out but they can't see it. I put mine in the suitcase they don't find it.

We have just come back from a cruise to all these islands and if you dont book the excursions you can always get a taxi from the docks for half the price.

P&O let you buy booze during the cruise, its delivered to your cabin the same day and you can drink it when you want. You can also buy on shore and take it on board with no need to hide it. The other cruiselines seem oppressive.

Princess state in their information that you are allowed to take 2 bottles of wine on board. it can be 2bottles of champagne if that is what you prefer. they don't like spirits to be taken on board.

Don't know why the site sends you to this page for replys re excursions but here goes.I also recommend getting around these islands by taxi, most drivers are very knowledgeable and keen to point out the sights. If you have not already done one then go for the swim with dolphins and/or stingrays. We did both this year on organised trips, one was on Tortola and other Antigua but can't remember which one was on which island, anyway both were not cheap but worth every cent. J Hil.
