The "carry on Bags" are scanned by crew looking for bottles along with security risk items, These scanners do not seem to recognise wine boxes but of course I cannot vouch for it personally...Richard .

Neil Down - Answered a Question by edwards (03 Jun 13 14:13)

Firstly as Wilba says, two bottle of 70 or 75cls per cabin. Where you buy them is up to you. You cannot buy "Duty Free" if you are only flying to Italy. If you buy them at home then you will have to pack them in your hold luggage but at the airport, provided they sell wine (and the wine you like) at your airport, you can take them on in your "Carry-on" luggage. You might be able to buy at Fiumicino provided you have enough time, that will depend on the method of transfer you have. I you have chosen the method of transport then you should be able to buy wine elsewhere before you board. After you board your allowance is zero. The decision is yours....Neil.

All Inclusive all the way?

By Steve Fuller

Steve Fuller's blog

Is All Inclusive the way forward on a Cruise? Some cruise lines for example NCL are now All inclusive. Included is their Ultimate Beverage Package along with Gratuities. Now, to families this must be really appealing as it has to be the complete package. You’re booking a family holiday and taking the kids and you want to know that you have everything and that the kids can get drinks too when ever they want to. Everything budgeted for is taken care of before you travel, not a bad thing f...
