Have a look at my recent review "Enjoyed Marco Polo" dated 5 June. I have tried to give some practical advice on some of the fjord ports there. Robert.

You can DIY nearly everywhere in Norway. Unless there is a particular excursion that interests you, it is easy to explore on your own. If you are visiting the Lofoten Islands a tour is well worth it as they are beautiful.

Hi, we are going to the Lofoten Islands and have tried to book to go to Henningsvaer with Cunard but unfortunately the tour is fully booked. Can you give us any idea of other trips to do independently or is there enough to walk round? Thanks.

Sorry the reply took so long, we've just got back from Iceland (lovely trip). I would recommend the trip to the Viking museum on the Lofoten Islands, or the Nusfjord visit. If you are over 60 you can buy a run around bus pass for the day for about the equivalent of £6. Enjoy your trip. Judith.

I had a conversation with one of my clients last week about Azamara and he said he thought the ships would be too formal and posh for him. How wrong could he be?The s...

So here we have the final instalment of my Independence of the Seas tales. I promised I would tell you a little more about the new eateries onboard Indy since her spruce up and I can assure you, what she has to offer will not disappoint. I am ashamed to admit that whilst onboard for just 3 days I made it my mission to sample everything I could….and came home 5lb heavier!!! You may be thinking thats easy done, but honestly I was naughty. Lunch in Playmakers at around 1 and by 2.30 we wer...

Renee Gagen's blog

The time has finally arrived we go to Lanzarote on the 26/06/18 on My Daughter’s birthday, this is just a cheeky week away as we weren’t going to go as we have so much booked this year. As it’s her Birthday the day we fly we decided to have her party on Sunday it will only be close family and friends but we thought we would make it special since she wouldn’t be here on the day. I keep asking her what she wants and she says a cake (it will be a cheap birthday if I onl...
