Probably because they want to screw their passengers for as much as they can, but drinks packages are now offered by most lines and for good value look at Marella cruises.

P & O don’t use Drinks Packages as a rule with reasonably priced drinks it’s no big issue unless you are a heavy drinker. Neil.

P&o and some of the regular cruisers believe drink package can cause rowdy behaviour and attract the wrong clientell.
