Pre Booking on board activities – Royal Caribbean

We head off on our Caribbean cruise in 6 weeks. Last night I decided it was time to get organised! Its a bit late for me as I normally have everything planned months in advance!

This will be our 2nd time on board Allure of the Seas. As a family we love the Oasis Class ships. The facilities on board are superb and Charlie loves all the activities on board. You know what they say – Happy kids = Happy parents!

Last night I finally bit the bullet and booked the deluxe drinks package. It wasnt cheap at £650 for 7 nights but I had $200 on board credit that went towards the cost.  Having been on board before I know the drinks are pricey and a cocktail can be almost $15 once the service charge and tax has been added. The deluxe drinks does include most drinks. I also like that the package can be used on their private islands. This will be our first visit to Coco Cay and im looking forward to trying a Coco Loco whilst there!
Did you know …… All the specialty restaurants have signature cocktails on their menu? You dont have to eat in the restaurant to try them. You can pop in and sit at the bar and have a cocktail using your drinks package.

We have booked My time dining. Now it didnt work great the last time as the queues were terrible. This time I have actually booked our dining time for most evenings on the planner. I havent bothered with pre booking any specialty dining as im hoping for a bit of a deal once on board. We love Chops Grill and also want to try Sabor and Izumi.

We have also booked some of our shows including Oceanaria, Blue Planet, Ice games and The Stand Up Comedy club. Again you dont HAVE to book these but it just saves time on board as you can go straight in and get a seat if you have pre booked. If you havent then you need to queue up until the people that have pre booked are seated.

Do you pre book before you go or do you just wait until you are on board?
