Los Angeles

The time has arrived for our Californian Adventure!

We head off on Friday to San Francisco for 4 nights. From here we will take a short flight down to Los Angeles.

I have heard so many mixed reviews for Los Angeles we have only planned 2 nights here. On arrival we will pick up a car and head straight over to Santa Monica Beach. We will spend the afternoon people watching at Muscle Beach and im sure we will take a couple of rides down at the old amusement park on Santa Monica Pier.

We are booked into the Loews Hollywood hotel as its a great location and we dont plan on using the car whilst in Los Angeles as traffic is pretty bad.

Our 2nd day will be seeing the sights of Hollywood & Beverly Hills. We plan on visiting the Walk of Fame and finding a good spot to view the Hollywood sign.

Finally we will leave Los Angeles early and head out to Santa Clarita for an extreme day at Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme park. We thought about visiting Disney California but as the Star Wars area has just opened the visitor numbers will be high. We love a them park having visited them all in Florida several times.  Six Flags doesnt really have a theme its just all about the roller coasters!

From here we then have a 2-3 hour drive to Indio in the Palm Desert area. It will be hot here but we have have planned 5 nights of Chilling! Our hotel has plenty of swimming pools and a lazy river for Charlie. There are also lots of BBQ’s on site for us to use too.

Next stop is San Diego for Independence Day!
