Should I book Early?

With P&O’s new brochures launching soon it’s a good time to address an age-old question?

When is the best time to book? A question I’m often asked and I say it really depends on your circumstances.

Without a doubt always book early if you require an accessible cabin as most ships have very few and these sell out very quickly, especially on UK departures!!

Should families book early?

Yes!!

If you need a three or four berth cabin during school holidays you must book early!!! Many people think they can wait until last minute to grab a bargain but this is pure fantasy when it comes to school holidays.

Also, I’ve had numerous occasions where a family have asked me for a price on their perfect cruise and I have to disappoint them by telling them their children’s age groups onboard are already full up.

This happens more often than you would think and No the cruise lines will not budge. Even if you assure them that little Johnny is mature for his age and won’t even use the children’s club.  It will be a No! Believe me, I have heard it all over the years.

Generally, I think, if you are a couple who are flexible about your cabin and dining arrangements then it is can be worth waiting. You only have to look at our website to see there are plenty of bargains to be had.

However, if you need to be more organised or prefer to confirm cabin number and dining arrangements etc at the time of booking then booking early has its benefits, early bookers benefit from additional discounts, best cabin choice, confirmed dining, Free car parking etc.

So as you can see there is no set answer to should I book early? It really comes down to your personal circumstances.

Whether you are looking for a last minute bargain or planning that dream holiday in 2020 give me a call and I’ll be happy to advise.
