All Things Spring

Last week, 20th March,  was the official start of the Astronomical Spring and ends on 21st June. Looking outside today it feels like Spring has finally sprung. After the unusually warm spell in February winter returned with a vengeance at the beginning of March, hopefully that is the last we will see of the cold weather until winter.

The field next door to my house has seen the arrival, in the last few days, of the first beautiful baby lambs and their mothers. They are really lovely little creatures ! You only have to open the back door in the morning and they all run to the wall thinking I am about to feed them, and what a noise they make !

It is also the time of year when I have a couple of holidays coming up. Next week I am off with friends to one of my favourite places in England, Thornham in Norfolk. This holiday centres around my dog Rowan, long walks on the beach and lots of good food and wine. This time we are going to try out the Coasthopper Bus so with Rowan and Hector, our friends Pointer, it should be an interesting experience.

The middle of May will see me Easy – jetting off to Barcelona for a few days, again with friends. First stop is the town of Vic in Catalonia where my friend`s daughter is working to perfect her Spanish, so that she can study at Barcelona University next year.

Vic is the capital of the region of Osona in the province of Barcelona, the town is located on the banks of the Meder river. It is a small town set amid green hills with an authentic Spanish lifestyle. It is also quite close to the Costa Dorada and a visit to t he coast is on the cards before heading back to Barcelona for a couple of nights.

I will be away from the office from Wednesday this week until Monday 7th April.
