Top 5 Ships For Nightlife and Entertainment

Top 5 Ships For Nightlife and Entertainment

There are two types of cruisers – those who like to be in bed for 9 pm and those happy to party all night until 9 am!

If your idea of a good night out ends at breakfast the next morning, you might be thinking that a cruise couldn’t possibly be for you – after all, ships don’t have nightclubs, do they?

Well, actually, some do! So if you’re a night owl who doesn’t travel anywhere without your personal supply of glow sticks, here are five of the best ships for partying all night:

1 – Norwegian Encore

Tony award-winning shows, silent discos and comedy clubs are just a few of the choices available at night onboard Encore. Bask in the bright lights of Broadway with dazzling performances that will have you tapping your feet. Or your sparkly high-heeled boots while watching six-time Tony Award winner Kinky Boots. Rock along to classic hits in a British pub at The Choir of Man or dance to the tunes of a New Orleans speakeasy at Happy Hour Prohibition: The Musical.

If theatre and musicals aren’t quite your thing, the Social Comedy Club offers a variety of acts from live comedy to the silent disco and dance music until the wee hours of the morning. No matter what your mood, you are bound to find yourself in the Social with a cocktail in hand at some point during your cruise. Or try The Cavern Club home to the Beatles tribute band and other rock performances. Here is where music lovers congregate to rock out and share a drink.

These are just a few of the hotspots onboard, but there’s a whole host of bars, whiskey lounges and wine bars that you can also enjoy.

2- Allure of the Seas

For being one of the biggest cruise ships in the world you would expect a neverending list of day and night activities… and that’s exactly what you get onboard Allure of the Seas.

Allure of the Seas is possibly one of the best ships at seas for world-class nightlife. She not only has the most bars at sea but arguably has the best selection of bars Royal Caribbean have to offer.

Get a front-row view of the best cover bands in the biz at Music Hall or sample delicious draft beers at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. Watch in amazement as robotic bartenders shake you a cocktail at the Bionic Bar or get a taste of paradise at The Lime and Coconut. But, don’t forget to end your night on a high note, with a visit to Spotlight Karaoke and sing into the early hours.

3- Carnival Vista

Carnival Cruise Line are hands-down the way to go for those seeking a cruise party experience. For starters, the Carnival Cruise Line has its own DJ Academy, run by famous Las Vegas and Miami DJ’s. The brand essentially gave birth to the party cruise with its “Fun Ship” fleet.

Carnival Vista has the slightly more refined party vibe than the original Fantasy Class. But, all the fun is still there! The formerly flashy decor of previous ships has been swapped for a more subtle beach resort aesthetic. You’ll find brand staples like Blue Iguana Cantina, along with the pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar and RedFrog Pub & Brewery offer beers that are brewed right onboard, all night long.

Aside from the bars and clubs onboard, parties are constantly being hosted at the outdoor pool deck and indoors at the Liquid Lounge.

4- Disney Fantasy

This will come as absolutely no surprise, when it comes to family parties, it has to be Disney Cruise Line. You can expect to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, alongside other recognisable Disney characters onboard, guaranteed to please the youngest of cruisers. But there’s something for all the family to enjoy onboard. Families can catch stage shows, film screenings, and opt for themed dining, as well as ride the AquaDuck water coaster and play at the AquaLab.

While the kids go crazy at the Midship Detective Agency or Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a safe place for the little ones to have character visits and access to games and toys. Adults can head to Europa for The Tube Nightclub or La Piazza, Ooh La La, O’Gills Pub, and Skyline bars.

5 – Queen Mary 2

While it may not come to mind as a party ship at first, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 is a wonderful option for those who want something slightly less hectic. Attracting a more mature crowd than you’d find onboard Carnival ships and far fewer families than the Disney cruises.

Formal diner and dancing nights, live band music and champagne bars offer relaxing nighttime entertainment. But, if dancing the night away is what your looking for  then you’ll love Queen Mary 2’s spectacular night club, G32 is the place for you. Here you’ll find an impressive range of drinks to complement the vibrant party atmosphere.
