MSC Seaside will feature in a new 90-minute Channel 5 documentary tonight: “Secrets of the Mega Cruise Ship.”
The fly-on-the-wall-style TV programme will offer a rare and exclusive glimpse of life below deck for the ship’s 1,500 crew members.
Viewers will also see behind-the-scenes access to show rehearsals, dining and entertainment venues onboard as it sails to Ocho Rios in Jamaica, Cozumel in Mexico and Nassau in the Bahamas.
Antonio Paradiso, Managing Director for MSC Cruises UK and Ireland, said: “It is an honour to have this great opportunity to show the British public another of our beautiful ships and all the onboard features we are famous for, whilst also offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at the goings on of one of the world’s most advanced cruise ships.
MSC cruise ships are no stranger to TV documentaries, with MSC Divina starring in Channel 5’s “Cruising with Jane McDonald” back in 2017.
Paradiso continued: “There is no better way to demonstrate how fantastic cruising is than to physically show people, and this feature-length documentary provides a great opportunity to do just that.”
MSC Seaside debuted in December 2017 as the line’s 14th ship, ready to sail year-round in the Caribbean and Bahamas.
The line claimed to have re-written the rulebook of cruise ship design with the first in the Seaside-class, blending indoor and outdoor areas that create an unmatched connection with guests and the sea.
Passengers are faced with panoramic elevators that mean moving around the ship is an experience in itself as there is no longer a need to travel back inside the ship to travel to an alternative deck.
The lifts sit on the outside of MSC Seaside so guests will never lose sight of the spectacular sea views.
From November 2019, the ship will call on the line’s brand-new private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
“Secrets of the Mega Cruise Ship” airs at 9 p.m tonight on Channel 5.
