The Seas Are Alive With The Sound Of Music

Princess Cruises bring one of the world’s most loved movies to life again this year. The successful family movie ‘The Sound of Music’ will be played on-board the ship’s under the stars pool deck screens this year.

When the dog bites, and the bees sting, and you’re feeling sad.. .Simply remember you’re cruising with Princess, and then you won’t feel, sooo bad…. (We’re sorry, we’re just as excited as you are!)

Princess celebrates her 50th year of business at sea and this film in particular was special because The Sound Of Music was released in 1965, the same year that the Princess cruises were founded.

The film stars Julie Andrews as a nun who tutors the family of an Austrian aristocrat and falls in love in the process. Showings of the film will begin in April 2015 and will continue to play on all of the 18 Princess ships sailing this year.

In addition to the movie, the main theatre on-board the ship will feature a sing-a-long version of the film! (Hurrah). For those passengers who wish to tackle it, the pop choir have organised a song book written by Rogers & Hammerstein.

Are you a fan of the movie? Well as part of the promotion Princesses offer fans a chance to win a free cruise AND a $500 on board gift card every month until December!

Will you be singing along? Leave your comments in the box below!
