Only blue skies and bright days are ahead for the brand-new ship Sun Princess, which has just set off on her very first cruise!
The 177,882-ton, 4,300-guest ship departed on her maiden voyage from Rome on a 10-day itinerary at the end of February, visiting magnificent Mediterranean ports such as Naples, Crete, Athens, Sicily, Mallorca, Kusadasi and Barcelona. Many Princess Cruises fans joined Sun Princess for her first cruise, including Monika Best, the cruise line’s most travelled guest!

Sun Princess oozes advanced cruising technology, more than 1,500 balcony cabins and spectacular public spaces.
It’s the first ship in the Princess Cruises fleet to house The Dome, a glass-enclosed multi-purpose structure that has its own Piazza and relaxing seating areas. By day, the Dome is the ideal place to unwind with a cocktail or two, and by night the venue stages spectacular acrobatics performed by Cirque Éloize.
More glittering entertainment can be found in the Princess Arena, the most technologically advanced theatre at sea; the cruise line’s largest casino; and Park19, an action-packed family activity zone featuring adventurous climbing structures and a glider ride.
Elsewhere, guests can dive into delicious eats at 30 exceptional eateries and bars, such as Spellbound by Magic Castle, a magic-themed immersive dining venue, Kai Sushu by Makoto, Love By Romero Britto, The Catch by Rudi Sodamin, and a three-storey Horizons main dining room.
