SpaceX’s Starlink Rolled Out Across P&O Cruises’ Fleet

P&O Cruises’ guests can now stream films and share their best holiday snaps at sea using SpaceX’s Starlink, which is being rolled out across P&O Cruises’ entire fleet of fantastic cruise ships.

This rollout allows guests to enjoy improved Wi-Fi connectivity and bandwidth aboard Arcadia, Arvia, Aurora, Azura, Britannia, Iona, and Ventura, enabling them to surf the web to their heart’s content while at sea!

Starlink works by using low earth orbit satellite technology to connect people to the internet, instead of using traditional land-based technologies.

P&O Cruises’ rollout of Starlink started this summer, in July 2023. Britannia and Azura now have the technology available for public spaces, while Arvia, Iona, Ventura, Arcadia, and Aurora will have it in place by the end of this year.

“Sharing unforgettable moments with friends and family back at home is an important part of any holiday. Whether it’s uploading a picture of a sunset as you sail away from a newly discovered destination or catching up with the news, live events or content from home, Starlink will make it even easier for our guests and colleagues to stay Connected.”

Carnival UK and P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow

This autumn, P&O Cruises ships will be departing on a range of spectacular itineraries across the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Canary Islands – perfect for escaping the UK’s current cold and blustery weather!
