Silversea has just revealed that Silver Whisper will be the next vessel in the luxury line’s fleet to be refurbished later this year.
The line has planned extensive renovation for when the 388-passenger ship goes into dry dock in the Bahamas between December 8th-19th 2018.
The revamp follows the introduction of flagship Silver Muse last year, aswell as the conversion of Silver Cloud to an expedition ship and the current lengthening of Silver Spirit.
The planned refurbishment of Silver Whisper follows the opening of sales for Silversea’s 2020 world cruise, which will see the ship travel to all seven continents, including Antarctica.
The 140-day voyage will depart from Fort Lauderdale on January 6th 2020, and end in Amsterdam on May 25th 2020 visiting 62 ports in 32 countries.
Storage space for Zodiac boats and a crane will be installed in preparation for the global circumnavigation.
Accommodation and the interior design of the ship’s public spaces will be improved in line with the design of Silver Muse.
Other improvements will include:
-Nine terrace suites transformed into Veranda suites, offering enhanced privacy
-40” flat screen televisions, loaded with innovative interactive media systems, will enhance the entertainment options
-All bathrooms will be revitalised with polished granite surfaces
Silversea‘s ship, Silver Spirit, is also undergoing renovation at the moment after being cut in two as part of a project to lengthen the ship by 49ft.
The vessel’s enhancements will include an additional two restaurants, a new and innovative Arts Cafe, a new Zagara spa and 26 extra Veranda suites.
