Royal Caribbean Are Giving Away An Impressive Salary For You To Travel The World

Royal Caribbean is looking for a traveller to explore the world on their ships in exchange for a fantastic salary.

The Shore Explorer Apprentice would be required to sail round the globe and document their experiences on social media.

An ideal candidate has been described as an “adrenaline junkie” who has “a unique ability to capture a moment and tell a story in a simple social media post”.

The role is open to British and Irish citizens aged 21 and over; applicants would need to post an “extraordinary travel story, video, or image” on Instagram via Instagram stories, IGTV, or an Instagram post.

The post would need to be tagged with @RoyalCaribbeanUK and #ShoreExplorer before the end of the day on March 1st 2019.

The successful explorer will be carefully selected by an independent panel of judges which will include travel writer Nadia El Ferdaoussi and musician James McVey.

The Vamps bandmember has recently emerged from the ‘I’m A Celebrity-Get Me Out Of Here jungle and feels ready to judge a selection of travel photography.

McVey commented: “My jungle experience taught me that you really can’t beat the thrill of exploring new destinations and experiences- whether on land or sea- and that’s what becoming a Shore Explorer is all about.

I am so excited to be working with Royal Caribbean to find the perfect person for this new apprenticeship; someone who has a passion for travel, exploration and seeking out new and extraordinary experiences around the world.

“And of course, they have to be brilliant at sharing their adventure online, too”.

The 20 Finalists will be announced on March 15th 2019 on the official Royal Caribbean website and Instagram.

The overall winner will be informed by the Promoter via Instagram message by April 5th 2019 or as soon as practicable thereafter if a review is required.

The lucky winner must be able to travel between May and August 2019 for at least three and up to four consecutive weeks if required to do so.

Hotel stays, standard meals, non-alcoholic beverages, plus a daily allowance are also included as perks.

It will also include visiting:

-Perfect Day at CocoCay (set to open May 2019)

Alaska, USA

-Lisbon, Portugal

-Norway

Dubai, UAE

-Osaka, Japan

A study Royal Caribbean undertook revealed that over half of millennials claim they would rather spend their money on memorable experiences over material possessions.

And a fifth of millennials cites a fear of FOMO (fear of missing out) as their reason for spending their money on real-world experiences.
