P&O Commemmorate 180 Years At Sea With New And Exclusive Concepts Onboard

In commemoration of 180 years at sea, P&O have decided to introduce some new and exclusive concepts onboard their ships.

The line have created their own blend of gin, teamed with a new brand of ice cream for onboard purchases and launched an Oasis spa, tailored just for teenagers.

In celebration of World Gin Day on the 10th June, P&O are launching its first ever exclusive blended gin, Anderson’s Gin, named after the line’s co-founder, Arthur Anderson.

P&O guests can note that it has been uniquely handcrafted by the brand’s in-house team and distilled at Edinburgh’s award-winning Summerhall Distillery, whilst the drink is described to have aromas of Eastern spice, tinged with sharp Mediterranean citrus flavours and a delicously spicy dry lingering finish.

World Gin Day will further be celebrated onboard with two new cocktails made from Anderson’s Gin; a gin masterclass developed and available across the fleet; gin flights comprising all the line’s British gins onboard; and deck tasters on World Gin Day itself.

The line have also decided to launch Jude’s ice cream as the new branded ice cream for guests to purchase onboard, which will replace previous featured brand, Carte D’or.

The quintessentially British brand ensures that P&O are offering products to their passengers that are tailored to British tastes and will host dedicated spaces across their fleet.

Jude’s has 40 Great Taste Awards, flavours that range from Very Vanilla to Truly Choc, from Strawberry Tease to Salted Caramel, from Ginger Spice to Gin & Tonic, and a mission to ‘knock your socks off everytime’.

P&O are also launching Oasis, a spa tailored just for teenagers and designed as the ideal introduction to the world of spa.

The range of treatments will offer bountiful benefits for the body and the mind and aim to combat teens’ concerns whilst enhancing on-trend tastes.

Facials will include Fantastically Fruity, a mask made from strawberry and kiwi and designed to nourish and deep cleanse your skin; and Blemish Banisher, a revolutionary oxygen facial to help blast away problems and promote clearer skin.

Massages on offer include Blissed-Out Back Massage, a heavenly massage that uses aromatherapy oils and Swedish massage techniques to relax and unwind with; and Parent And Teen Time Massage, a side by side massage with Mum or Dad.

Body treatments include Surrender to the Scrub, an invigorating exfoliating body treatment loaded with lime and ginger to make you feel brand new; and Fitness Frenzy for those of you up for a challenge. The boot camp classes will give you an insight into metabolism with a personalised metabolism test.

There will also be manicures, pedicures and hair treatments on offer from salon professionals.

Yet another new addition P&O are introducing onboard is Teddy Mountain, a ‘build a bear’ concept for kids.

The line has stated that the family friendly feature is slightly more hands on for the younger guests as you actually make the Bear yourself (no stuffing machines onboard) and parents have the option to buy the kits as gift so their young ones can build their bear anywhere.

Anderson’s gin will be launched across the fleet on the 7th May 2017, along with Jude’s ice cream. Teddy Mountain will launch this year onboard Aurora (10/5), Ventura (14/5), Azura (14/5), Oceania (13/5) and Britannia (21/5).
