Arriving in 2025, work has officially begun on Royal Caribbean International’s eagerly-awaited second Icon-class cruise ship. The start of the new ship’s production was marked with a steel-cutting ceremony in Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, where the first piece of the ship’s steel was cut for the next addition to the cruise line’s revolutionary Icon Class. Royal Caribbean Group To Install Fast Internet Across Fleet

For avid cruisers who love to surf the web while surfing out at sea, Royal Caribbean Group has announced exciting plans to install high-speed internet across a range of Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises ships. In a first for the cruising industry, Royal Caribbean Group has joined forces with SpaceX to implement its Starlink high-speed satellite internet service across its fleet of ships. Royal Caribbean has recently announced changes to their health and safety protocols around Covid-19. Their updates apply to cruises departing from the following ports: – Cruises departing from a European home port– Cruises departing from Los Angeles, California– Cruises departing from Galveston, Texas– Cruises departing from New Orleans, Louisiana For itineraries from the above ports, that commence on 5 September 2022, or later, it is recommended that guests are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they are eligible.
