Newest Cruise Line Announces New Ship

Emerald Waterways, Europe’s newest river cruise line, has announced the addition of a fifth vessel to its fleet.

Despite being a newcomer to the cruise industry, the line is already the recipient of the 2014 Cruise Critic’s Editors’ Pick award for Best New River Ships.

It is renowned for its near all-inclusive pricing plan, which includes wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, onboard Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and a bicycle hire service for independent tours.

The new Emerald Belle ship will debut at the start of next year and will be built to the same design guidelines as the company’s four “Star Ships”.

Each vessel has a 182-passenger capacity, 92 cabins, 72 suites and 20 staterooms. All suites feature panoramic sea views that are bound to take your breath away.

Not only this, but ship features include a dual-purpose area that transforms from an indoor, heated pool with a retractable roof during the day to a cinema at night.

The Emerald Waterways dining service sets passengers up for a treat. Guests can choose from two restaurants, Reflections – the main dining room – and Terrace – a breakfast and lunch joint. Food is prepared and served to the highest quality, with menus boasting an array of tasty dishes.

Other onboard amenities include a hairdressing salon, massage therapy room and fitness area.

Emerald Waterways launched in 2014 with two ships and is set to deliver two more later this year – Emerald Dawn and Emerald Sun.

This year, the line is offering nine itineraries, including the ten-day ‘Enchantment of Eastern Europe’ voyage, the eight-day ‘Highlights of the Netherlands and Beauty of Belgium’ sailing, and an 11-day ‘Delights of France’ expedition.

Will you be embarking on any of these cruises? Are you excited for Emerald Belle’s debut?
