New Voyages Revealed For Holland America Line’s 2025 Season

Holland America Line‘s 2025 Canada/New England Season will feature a brand-new ‘Legendary Voyage’, alongside more late-night stays and maiden calls.

Zuiderdam and Volendam will offer nearly 30 departures between the two ships combined from Boston, Massachusetts and Montreal or Quebec City, Quebec- with itineraries ranging from seven to 15 days, plus a 25-day ‘Legendary Voyage’. These cruises will allow guests to explore the likes of Canada, New England, Iceland and Greenland.

From May through to October 2025, Zuiderdam will sail a series of seven-day cruises, featuring ports that highlight the Atlantic Coast’s delicious seafood, maritime history, charming seaside towns and breathtaking natural beauty.

Volendam will offer 10- and 11-day itineraries including historical ports with a blend of English and French influences, while her repositioning cruises to and from Fort Lauderdale, Florida feature a maiden call at Yorktown (Williamsburg), Virginia. Volendam will also offer three seven-day voyages featuring highlights from the region.

“With Zuiderdam beginning in May, we will slightly increase our capacity in the region from previous years and add more verandah staterooms available for booking. Plus, our itineraries present several choices for a truly unique vacation that explores a culturally-rich region from an easy gateway for an extended season, including the popular fall foliage and longer voyages up to Greenland and Iceland.”

2025 Season Highlights

Departing on 12th July 2025, Volendam‘s 25-day “Canada, New England, Greenland and Iceland” Legendary Voyage will sail roundtrip from Boston. This cruise will make six calls around Iceland, plus 11 additional visits in Greenland, Maine and Canada’s Nova Scotia, Labrador, and Newfoundland.

Zuiderdam will be embarking on two different seven-day itineraries. Her “Canada & New England: UNESCO Sites & Québécois Nights” voyage will sail between Boston and Québec City, Quebec, Canada. Whereas, the ship’s “Canada & New England Circle: New Brunswick” cruise will be sailing roundtrip from Boston, with select dates featuring late-night departures from Quebec City; Portland, Maine; or Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

In both the summer and autumn, Volendam will cruise between Boston and Montréal on a series of 10- and 11-day voyages. On 1st July and 16th August 2025, a new 11-day “Canada and New England Circle” itinerary will depart either roundtrip Boston or roundtrip Montreal. Ports of call will depend on which itinerary guests choose.

The roundtrip Montreal cruise calls at Halifax, Nova Scotia; St. John’s and St. Pierre, Newfoundland; Charlottetown; Sydney, Nova Scotia; and Quebec City. Whereas, the roundtrip Boston voyage doesn’t call at Quebec City, but instead adds Corner Brook, Newfoundland; and Cap-aux-Meules, îles de la Madeleine- part of the Magdalen Islands in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

Volendam will also offer 14-day repositioning cruises along the Atlantic Coast, sailing between Montréal and Fort Lauderdale, Florida in June and September 2025. Both voyages will include the maiden port of Yorktown (Williamsburg).

Zuiderdam‘s 15-day Atlantic Coast itinerary from Fort Lauderdale to Quebec City in May 2025 will feature an overnight stay at Quebec City, a call at Yorktown, plus late-night departures from Newport, Maine and Charlottetown.
