New cruise ship for Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean has announced that construction work has begun on its latest vessel, at the STX shipyard in St Nazaire, France.

The Oasis-class ship will be the fourth to join the fleet. The Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas are two vessels that are currently sailing and both share the title of the world’s largest cruise ship.

Both existing ships sail to a range of exotic and exciting destinations across the globe, including Barcelona and the Caribbean.

Exciting amenities onboard the Allure of the Seas include West End-style shows, a casino and a vitality spa and fitness centre where you can indulge in a selection of aromatic treatments.

The Oasis of the Seas also features a casino and theatre, as well as a beauty salon, an ice skating rink, a comedy lounge, nightclub and champagne bar.

Guests can also enjoy a fine dining experience inside the ships’ restaurants and cafes. Choose from a mouthwatering array of traditional dishes cooked to perfection by professional chefs.

Royal Caribbean’s third and fourth additions in the Oasis class will be built to the same standards as the existing vessels, measuring at 225,282 gross tons, spanning 16 decks and holding 2,700 cabins.

The new ships are scheduled for delivery in 2016 and 2018. Details including names and itineraries are yet to be announced.

Another exciting ship to look out for is the Anthem of the Seas, which is due to join Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class vessels at Southampton’s port later this year.

Are you looking forward to the new deliveries?
