MSC Cruises has unveiled that the only over-water swing ride at sea, Cliffhanger, will debut exclusively onboard MSC World America in 2025.
Towering above the new flagship’s top deck, the swing will be nestled in the heart of World America’s Family Aventura district to attract thrill seekers who are looking for a rush of excitement during their cruise.
This exhilarating swing features four seats which start off close to the deck before powered arms lift them into its starting position- up and out over the ship’s edge. Riders are then propelled back and forth, dangling 50 metres above the ocean. Cliffhanger will have guests feeling the wind through their hair as their views oscillate between the water below and the sky above.
MSC World America is set to become the cruise line’s newest flagship at her Naming Ceremony in PortMiami on the 9th April 2025. Onboard, guests of all ages can expect a whole new world of cruising, featuring seven distinct districts with their own atmosphere, facilities, and experiences to be explored.
MSC Cruises’ newest ship is carefully designed to reduce her impact on the environment, running on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to lower emissions. Smart Technology is also used throughout World America to ensure guests can travel in comfort while keeping energy and water use to a minimum. Additionally, the robust onboard recycling programme minimises waste, plus shore power connectivity reduces emissions by allowing the ship’s engines to be switched off in port.
During MSC World America‘s inaugural season, she will sail from Miami with 7-night itineraries in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, all including stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve- the cruise line’s private island in The Bahamas.
