MSC to return to the UK

MSC cruises have announced that they are returning to the UK next year!

The MSC Splendida will be based in Southampton for a short period of six sailings, after being missing from UK shores this year.

Giles Hawke, MSC’s executive director for the UK and Ireland, said: “a lot of our guests and agents have been asking us to base a ship in the UK. People love travelling with us and want to embark in the UK with us.”

MSC have also released a four page spread in their 2016 brochure detailing their new ship builds (also known as project seaside.)

The 2016 programme for MSC also includes new Northern European cruises and longer Mediterranean sailings.

The summer season will see MSC offer 270 sailings across 27 itineraries and offer between seven to twelve night voyages.

The line have also reacted to customer feedback and will now offer cruise only prices for the first time, after previously only offering fly-cruise prices.

Giles Hawke said: “We have responded to feedback by making cruise-only an attractive option for those who wish to make their own arrangements or for agents who want to create their own packages.”
