MSC Cruises has released a new infographic on the ways in which cruise passengers from different European countries behave, highlighting a range of cultural divides.
However, only 39 per cent of Britons are bilingual or multilingual, compared with more than half (51 per cent) of French people and two-thirds (66 per cent) of Germans.
In the UK, MSC claims holidaymakers are more likely to pack for their trips with lounging in the sun in mind, whereas Italians tend to dress more stylishly. The infographic adds that the average European women packs a total of 18 tops, 12 pairs of shorts or skirts and six bikinis for a two-week trip.
Cruise passengers are also advised to observe how body language differs depending on the corner of Europe from which a person hails, with non-Britons often making the V-sign to indicate the number two.
