MSC Cruises Go For Gold With New Guinness World Records Partnership

MSC Cruises has announced plans for thrilling new onboard entertainment, partnering with Guinness World Records.

Further illustrating MSC Cruises’ commitment to providing world-class entertainment, the new partnership aims to engage and immerse guests with an exciting and innovative program.

A chance to get their names in the infamous record books, guests can expect to partake in breathtaking live shows, where they can attempt to smash Guinness World Records, creating unforgettable memories in the process.

The new partnership comes as MSC Cruises continue its broader strategy to enhance its range of top-class entertainment even further.

Participants will have the chance to practice their chosen activities during the day, followed by an audition for the evening show. Those lucky enough to make it to the final will then have the opportunity to show off their talents, potentially becoming the next iconic record holder.

“We’re delighted to join forces with Guinness World Records. We’re always on the hunt for new and engaging concepts for our guests. This partnership provides unique and enriching entertainment at the highest level, and we look forward to continuing to offer a dynamic range of exciting experiences for guests of all ages.”

Steve Leatham, Global Head of Entertainment, MSC Cruises

Marco Frigatti, SVP Consultancy at Guinness World Records, also added, “There’s no better way to bring the magic of Guinness World Records to life than to host a live show like this.”

Guinness World Records entertainment and activities can now be enjoyed onboard MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa. Furthermore, the exciting new program will also be coming to the cruise line’s highly-anticipated MSC Euribia when she sets off on her inaugural season this coming June.

Guinness World Records highlights available onboard include:

  • The Records Show, modelled after the Guinness World Records TV show and complete with audience participation. Guests and crew will attempt a variety of record-breaking activities, including firing a vortex cannon and mastering a voice-controlled video game.
  • Action-packed Children’s Programs will include engaging challenges, quizzes and educational shows for children and teens.
  • Guests can test their knowledge with The Guinness World Records Facts trivia challenge.
  • Get the whole family involved with The Guinness World Records Family Quiz, featuring live challenges and video races.

Any guests lucky enough to become new record breakers will be verified by an official Guinness World Records Adjudicator, and awarded with their very own certificate to show off when they arrive back home.
