Meet Celebrity Cruises Most Feline Member Of The Team
Captain Katie McCue – who was the first American women to be in command of a mega-ship in 2015 and is now the captain of Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Edge, is hitting headlines for a different reason as she travels with a certain companion in tow.

Kate has worked up a huge following on Instagram with over 80 thousand followers, but her cat is catching her up. Bug Naked, an Elf Sphynx cat,  gets to enjoy a luxury lifestyle travelling around the world with her owner on one of Celebrity Cruises newest ships. What a life!

Kate has previously captained Celebrity Equinox and now, both her and her cat start a new journey travelling around the world onboard Celebrity Cruises brand new ship, Celebrity Edge. Kate has worked on cruise lines for 13 years with the original idea of becoming a captain coming from her father, Patrick, who mentioned the job when she was just 12 years old.

The idea of taking up this career was solidified when she visited the Bahamas on a 4-day cruise. In an interview with Telegraph Travel Kate has said: “The idea of being able to do this as a career, I thought, was mind-blowing – to be able to have fun all the time and travel around on the ship”.
