Marella’s Adults-Only Ship Just Got A Whole Lot Better

Marella’s Adults-Only Ship Just Got A Whole Lot Better

Marella Cruises has just revealed brand new details on its next ship, Marella Explorer – the line’s first adults-only vessel.

The 1,914-guest ship will debut in May 2019 and will boast new features and fan favourites, too.

Marella Explorer 2 Features

Passengers can expect three new-to-the-line venues- a new clubhouse bar called The 19th Hole; an upmarket Prosecco and Champagne bar called Flutes, and The Beach Cove with its beach-barbecue theme.

The 19th Hole will feature unique golf-buggy-style seating and two golf simulators, with drinks including golf-themed cocktails and craft beer.

Flutes has been imagined by Marella as a pre- and post-dinner drinks venue, with “Press for Bubbles” buttons at tables.

Marella Explorer 2 will also feature a pizzeria-style dining option that debuted on Marella Explorer, however this version will serve made-to-order pizzas baked in a pizza oven, a first for the line.

Chris Hackney, managing director of Marella Cruises, stated: “We are really pleased to share details of the three fantastic new venues for Marella Explorer 2, we’ve made sure there is something to take every adults fancy whether that’s enjoying a golf themed cocktail in the 19th Hole or sipping on some bubbles in Flutes.

We’re delighted customers have loved sailing on Marella Explorer and look forward to hearing about their experiences on Marella Explorer 2.”

Aswell as being the only adult-only ship for Marella, the vessel will be tailored to meet the needs of couples and groups.

This will be done by doubling the size of its sunbathing area, called The Veranda, featured on the Marella Explorer.

There will also be a number of brand new shows and popular dining venues including Kora-La, Shake Shack and Surf and Turf including recognised bars Aperitif, Squid and Anchor.

It was also revealed in March that the new addition to the fleet would feature new cabin types, including the 102 metres squared Royal Suite.

Passengers will be able to use a separate bedroom, dressing room, dining area and a whirlpool bath whilst 40% of the 907 cabins onboard will have balconies.

Itineraries

Marella Cruises has also just revealed three new itineraries for its winter 2019 programme.

Marella Dream and Marella Celebration will offer the new seven-night Ancient Kingdoms itinerary, departing from Limassol, Cyprus.

Marella Discovery 2 will offer two new itineraries : the seven-night Panama Canal Experience and seven-night Secret Shores, both departing from Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Hackney added: “Our winter 2019 programme offers guests amazing destinations and exotic new itineraries as we continue to offer customers more choice, flexibility and opportunities to visit some of the world’s best hidden secrets.”

The new itineraries will be on sale from November 8th 2018.
