Marco Pierre White Joins P&O’s Britannia Cooking Club: Every Detail Is Right Here

Marco Pierre White Joins P&O’s Britannia Cooking Club: Every Detail Is Right Here

It has just been revealed that Marco Pierre White is the new patron of P&O’s Cookery Club on board Britannia, the hands-on cooking school at sea.

The godfather of British cooking, known all over the world, will bring his flair for fantastic food to a whole range of activities.

He became the youngest ever chef to be awarded three Michelin stars in the 1990s and and has been pushing the boundaries of cuisine for over 30 years.

Guests will be able to learn first-hand from Marco himself through his hosted masterclasses and dinners when he travels on board P&O.

Those with less experience will gain skills and confidence cooking, whilst those who are already keen cooks will be helped to further enhance their skills, at state-of-the-art, fully-equipped workstations.

Marco’s Hosted Masterclasses and Marco’s Hosted Dinners

This option includes masterclasses and dinners where Marco is travelling and are therefore hosted personally by him!

His masterclass is two hours long where he will be your guide as you learn to cook restaurant-quality food; you’ll be trying them out firsthand, overseen by Marco himself.

You’ll be perfecting the art of risotto making with risotto of porchini with a fricassée of woodland mushroom, and risotto of seafood with fresh rosemary, basil and cherry tomatoes.

Marco’s hosted dinner means your meal will be cooked by the legend himself right in front of your eyes. Following this, you’ll enjoy the three courses over wine and chit chat!

Unmistakably Marco Classes and Unmistakably Marco Dinners

These are classes and dinners that have been created by Marco, but are hosted by The Cookery Club team. Guests will find them available all year round.

In your class, you’ll be guided by P&O’s professional chefs as you cook up your creations and then savour them together too!

The Cookery Club’s skills will be literally laid out on the table in front of you after you’ve watched their tricks unfold during the cooking process. Enjoy the meal with good wine and lively conversation afterwards.

Classes and Chef’s Table Dinners- hosted by The Cookery Club team

Available all year round, these classes and dinners have been created by P&O’s expert resident chefs!

Marco’s perfect pasta

You’ll be able to master two of Marco’s specially created pasta dishes: macaroni cheese with wild mushroom & seafood spaghetti of lobster with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil.

Marco’s perfect roast chicken

Discover Marco’s secrets to cooking the perfect roast chicken with all the trimmings- stuffing, roasting juices and bread sauces.

The T’s & C’s

All participants must be aged 18 or over, unless booking a family class; cooks aged 16 and 17 years can attend any class providing they come along with an adult.

Guests must advise P&O of any dietary requirements once on board via the booking line.

Guests should book as early as possible due to the popularity of the class! Each class caters for 24 guests where everybody works in pairs.

Individuals are still encouraged to  arrive alone as you will always find a partner. And one of the best parts is that, the preparation and washing up is already done for you!
