Setting sail from the UK on February 2023, legendary musician and broadcaster Jools Holland is returning to Saga Cruises’ Spirit of Discovery to perform live.
The former Squeeze musician will play in the Spirit of Discovery’s stunning Playhouse theatre with his live band, after previously making appearances on several Saga voyages in 2019 and 2020.
Pianist, composer and broadcaster Jools Holland started his musical career playing pubs in the East End docks as a teenage greaser. Since his humble beginnings, Jools has gone on to lead his own rhythm and blues orchestra, sell millions of records, and present hit BBC shows Later… with Jools Holland and New Year’s Eve spectacular Hootenanny.
Jools will perform on Saga’s Colours of the Canaries, departing on 2nd February 2023, and Arctic Norway and the Northern Lights, departing from 18th February 2023, itineraries.
The 16 night Colours of the Canaries itinerary offers winter sun seekers the chance to bask in subtropical sights in Madeira, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Portugal, La Palma, La Gomera, and Cadiz. Sightseeing excursions include exploring the lunar-like landscapes in Timanfaya National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site Mount Teide.
Celestial light shows and stargazing await on the 15 night Arctic Norway and the Northern Lights itinerary. Highlights in this all-inclusive cruise include an overnight stay in Tromso in the Aurora Belt and an evening excursion to a remote fire-lit camp in Alta.
