Gwen Stefani Revealed As Godmother Of Carnival Jubilee

Carnival Cruise Line has announced that global music icon, Gwen Stefani, will be honoured as the Godmother of its new flagship, Carnival Jubilee.

The superstar will be officially named as the ship’s Godmother during Carnival Jubilee’s naming ceremony, taking place in Galveston, Texas on Saturday 24th February 2024.

As a three-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Gwen Stefani has achieved worldwide success as a songwriter, performer, frontwoman of No Doubt, and as a multi-platinum solo artist. Over her many years in the spotlight, Stefani has achieved an impressive array on honours: including four MTC Video Music Awards; two Billboard Awards; an American Music Award; and a Brit Award.

In addition to these prestigious awards, she is also recognized for her philanthropic work, including her support of children’s causes.

“I am honoured to be the godmother of the new Carnival Jubilee. Carnival is taking it to the next level of fun while being committed to children’s causes and supporting our military families and veterans.”

Since entering service on 23rd December 2023, Carnival Jubilee has wowed guests with its six “zones” of fun onboard, providing a unique mix of experiences and activities. Cruisers can spend their days riding the BOLT rollercoaster, splashing around at WaterWorks water park, relaxing at the serene Cloud 9 Spa, or getting stuck into family friendly entertainment- such as Family Feud Live.

Carnival Jubilee is the third ship in Carnival’s Excel Class, and joining the sustainable cruising movement through being powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) technology.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Gwen Stefani onto Carnival Jubilee so we can honour her as the ship’s godmother. She has demonstrated her commitment to our Carnival values, including promoting diversity and inclusion, supporting charitable causes, being a leader in her field, and of course, having fun. We are going to show her an enthusiastic welcome in only the way Carnival can when she joins us on February 24th.”

Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line

While Carnival Jubilee‘s naming ceremony is an invitation-only event held onboard the ship itself, a portion of the celebrations will be broadcast live on Carnival’s Facebook page on the day.
