Fred Olsen just launched a new ‘Brexit Promise’, believed to be the first of its kind within the industry.
The line wished to settle any uncertainties of Brexit to help guests enjoy the perfect getaway from the moment they book.
Under the new ‘Brexit Promise’, if a cruise is cancelled due to the UK leaving the European Union, Fred. Olsen guarantees to give guests a full refund on that sailing PLUS a free cruise.
Peter Deer, Commercial Director for the cruise line said: “With over 170 years of sailing heritage behind us, we have seen many changes and economic uncertainties over the years, but what has never waivered is our focus on giving guests the best possible experience, wherever and whenever they sail with us.
With our new ‘Brexit Promise’, you can book your next Fred. Olsen holiday with real confidence, safe in the knowledge that whatever happens, you won’t lose out!
In fact, we are so confident that Brexit won’t affect your Fred. Olsen cruise that, should the unexpected happen and your holiday is cancelled due to the UK leaving the EU, we will give you a full refund AND a free cruise!”
What is more, once a cruise has been booked and the deposit paid, Fred. Olsen also guarantees:
-‘No Supplement, No Surcharge’ guarantee
-All prices on board in Pounds Sterling
-Fred. Olsen’s unique ‘Enjoyment Promise’
-ABTA and ATOL protection
Once a booking is confirmed, the line guarantees that no surcharges or supplements will be added to the cruise price.
Bookings are underpinned by the security of ABTA and ATOL protection, while all cruises, shore tours and purchases made on board Fred. Olsen’s ships are priced in Pounds Sterling.
This is so that guests can explore the world without having to worry about exchange rates.
The line launched its industry-leading ‘Enjoyment Promise’ in 2013:
If guests find that the cruise is not for them within 48 hours of sailing (24 hours on Brabant river cruises), they should just let Guest Services know and Fred. Olsen promises to arrange and pay for flights back to the UK from the next port and repay the cost of the holiday!
