Despite their size, you can still expect great amenities and service onboard from this cruise line. Included in all Fred. Olsen cruise fares are comfortable cabins, dining throughout the day – including a five-course a la carte evening dinner – evening entertainment, leisure facilities and onboard activities.

Your Fred. Olsen cruise fare determines the options and promotional benefits available to you when booking your cruise holiday and throughout your trip. There are three Fred. Olsen cruise fares to choose from, Freedom, Saver and Saver Plus.

What is Fred. Olsen Freedom Fare?
Fred. Olsen Freedom Fares are available across all of their cruise holidays. It is their standard-price brochure fare, where you’ll have access to all the benefits of a Fred. Olsen cruise and greater flexibility when booking your cruise.
What’s included in Fred. Olsen Freedom Fares?
The key benefits for Freedom Fare Fred. Olsen cruise guests are the priorities given with cabin choice and dining options.
Your cabin grade and number can be selected at the time of booking, which can be important if you’re travelling as a large group or family and wish to be close together or if you have a particular preference on where you are based on the ship. You’ll also be first in line for cabin upgrades should they become available.
When booking your holiday, you can confirm your restaurant, when you wish to dine and state a preference for your table size. Depending on how flexible you are with dining will denote how significant this advantage is for you.
If you are travelling as a couple or solo, you may be more relaxed about where and when you eat. If so, this option offers no particular advantage. One of the other main Freedom Fare Cruise benefits is the flexibility when booking.
Your booking can be transferred to another cruise, if needed (one change per booking), and you only need to pay a 15% deposit at the time of booking if you make your reservation more than 90 days in advance of your departure. Fred. Olsen’s standard cancellation fees are applied.
Other Freedom Fare extras for Fred. Olsen cruise guests are free port shuttle buses, priority for pre-booked shore excursions and embarkation in UK ports. If you are an Ocean Loyalty Club member, you can also access booking discounts and onboard benefits based on your membership level.
Does Fred. Olsen Freedom Fare include drinks?
In terms of free drinks, Fred. Olsen Cruises provide tea- and coffee-making facilities in the cabins. You’ll also have access to self-service tea and coffee at selected venues.
If you choose to upgrade to the all-inclusive package, you’ll also have a good selection of drinks included in your cruise fare, such as selected wine by the glass, beers, ciders and house spirits and a wide variety of soft drinks.
How much more is Fred. Olsen Freedom Fare?
The Fred. Olsen Freedom Fare is the cruise line’s standard brochure price before any special offers or discounts are applied. The Freedom Fare cruise cost will vary according to several factors, such as the ship, itinerary and duration of your cruise.
What is the Fred. Olsen Saver Fare?
If you are looking for a great deal on a cruise holiday and are happy to be flexible with your cruise options, then the Fred. Olsen Saver Fare could be an excellent choice for you.
Often these fares are only available as last-minute deals, less than two months before the departure date. However, as Fred. Olsen’s promotional option, the Saver Fare cruise costs less than the Freedom Fare.
What’s included Fred. Olsen Saver Fare?
Although you can still enjoy a fantastic Fred. Olsen cruise, the benefits for Saver Fare Fred. Olsen cruise guests are different from the Freedom Fare option.
You cannot choose your cabin upon booking or your dining options. However, you can select your cabin category. You can also reserve your dining sitting for a supplement of £2 per person per night. There are no Saver Fare cruise benefits for priority boarding, shore excursions or Ocean Cruise Club discounts.
When it comes to booking your Saver Fare, you’ll need to make payment in full at the time of reservation. Your booking will also be subject to 100% cancellation charges and is non-transferable.
Does Fred. Olsen Saver fare include drinks?
As with Freedom Fare, you can upgrade to the all-inclusive package, where selected alcoholic and soft drinks are included. Alternatively, you can buy drinks as you go at their bars and restaurants, where they are reasonably priced for drinks at sea.
For example, a 175ml glass of wine costs £5.10, while a pint of lager is around £4.60.
How much more is the Fred. Olsen Saver Fare?
The Saver Fare cruise costs less than the other Fred. Olsen cruise fares. Therefore, if its terms and conditions work for you, it could offer great value for money.
What is Fred. Olsen Saver Plus Fare?
The Fred. Olsen Saver Plus Fare cruise costs a little more than the Saver Fare. However, the benefit for Saver Plus Fare Fred. Olsen cruise guests is that you can confirm your cabin grade when you make your booking.
There are no additional Saver Plus Fare cruise benefits, and your booking is subject to the same terms and conditions as the Saver Fare.
