It’s no secret that Florida is one dreamy destination, with picture-perfect beaches and a climate to die for.
You should go completely relaxed, organised and prepared so we’ve done all the research for you; all you need to do is get ticking off the list!
Here are all your essential items you should bring and what each season looks like…
The Season Lowdown
Spring & Summer
With the average temperature sitting at around 23°c in the spring, and 28°c in the summer, visiting Florida calls for much lighter & more-breathable clothing as the weather tends to be very sunny and humid!
Sunscreen of SPF 30+ (possibly even factor 50 if you are prone to sunburn) with good UVA & UVB protection is a must, as well as a pair of sunglasses.
You should also consider packing a lightweight jacket, for air-conditioned indoor spaces that may actually become a bit chilly!
Autumn & Winter
The temperature tends not to drop too much, even in the winter – so you won’t need a really heavy coat.
Packing a pair (or two) of long trousers is probably a good idea for chillier evenings.
It may seem a little chillier but sun protection is still a must all year round. There may be mild goosebumps but you’ll still have a red face…
Month by Month
Something very important to note is that June 1st to November 30th is the hurricane season in Florida.
