Disney Cruise Line has just revealed its decision to offer its first departure from the port of Rome next summer, calling at seven new ports in Europe.
Disney Magic’s European deployment will include the Baltic, Norwegian fjords, Iceland, British Isles as well as the Mediterranean.
New ports of call will include Belfast, Gothenburg and Nynashamn in Sweden; Toulon and Brest in France; Cartagena in Spain; and Fredericia in Denmark.
Bookings will open on March 8th for the line’s 2019 sailings which include an eight-night itinerary by Disney Magic from Civitavecchia– the port for Rome– to Salerno, La Spezia, Villefranche, Marseilles and Barcelona on June 14th.
Disney Dream will sail a series of cruises from Port Canaveral in Florida that will include two stops at the line’s private island at Castaway Cay.
Additionally, three-night pre-cruise stays will be introduced for the first time in Barcelona, Copenhagen, Rome and Vancouver.
Disney Fantasy went under its first dry dock in April last year which included the addition of popular Disney franchies, Star Wars, with the transformation of Disney Fantasy into a galaxy far, far away.
The “Star Wars Day at Sea” sailings began on select Fantasy sailings in January this year and will run through until April whilst Doctor Strange, the line’s Marvel-themed TV show continues onboard the fleet.
