Everything We Know So Far About Cruise & Maritime’s Brand New Ship

In late November 2019, Cruise & Maritime Voyages announced the expansion of their ocean fleet, with the acquisition of two new ships formerly part of the P&O Australia fleet. During dry dock, the ships will be increasing capacity to 9000 berths and passenger capacity will be growing by 30%.

In keeping with CMV tradition of naming their ships after explorers, she will be named after the famous Amy Johnson, who was a pioneering English pilot who was the first woman to fly solo from London to Australia. Flying solo she set many long-distance records during the 1930s.

Amy Johnson’s maiden voyage will be a huge 44 night Asia cruise departing from Singapore on 13th April 2021. This long haul Asia cruise will be highlighted with ports of call such as India, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Greece and Italy. Over the total 44 nights, there will be plenty of days at sea giving you the opportunity to really experience the ship.

The attractive Waterfront Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner or for something more casual, there’s the buffet-style Pantry. At lunchtimes, when the weather is fine, the Alfresco Grill adds more choice. They will also have speciality restaurants for you to choose from including The Fusion, Grill and Chef’s Table which present truly intimate and delightful settings and outstanding classic menus.

Amy Johnson will have a total of 11 different lounges and bars including Raffles Bar, The Orient, Dome Observatory, Ocean Bar and Taverner’s Pub, so there’s a wide choice of contrasting venues to choose from at any time of day.

Entertainment venues include the multi-tiered Palladium Show Lounge where the talented CMV Show Team and guest artists will entertain you. The stylish Dome Observatory & Nightclub plays host to cabarets and the late-night disco. Ensuring there’s never a dull moment onboard!

The heart of this beautiful ship is the impressive three-decked Atrium where you will find Hemmingway’s for some refreshments, Ocean Bar, Casino Royale, shopping gallaria and photo gallery.

Other facilities on Amy Johnson include Cappuccino’s where you can grab a coffee, Trumps & Access bridge and card room for daytime entertainment, Crafters Studio, Livingstone Library, a gym and the Jade Spa.

So that’s all we know about Cruise & Maritimes latest ship Amy Johnson so far and we will eagerly await more details to be revealed and update you on here as soon as we hear more.
