If you’re a frequent cruise passenger then you’re bound to be familiar with the selection of fine dining experiences offered on board most vessels and if you have a trip booked aboard the Disney Fantasy or Disney Dream then you’ll be delighted to discover that there’s been a change to the culinary offerings at Remy – Disney Cruise Line’s French-inspired restaurant.
Remy is a sophisticated adult-only setting with outstanding service and delicious dishes created by Michelin star chefs Arnaud Lallement and Scott Hunnel.
The expanded collection of culinary delights includes a tasting opportunity, a decadent dessert experience, a seasonal truffle menu and special caviar selections.
Keep an eye out for Remy’s special menu, the Petites Assiettes de Remy. This tasting experience comprises six dishes from the restaurant’s seasonal menu, along with the perfect wine pairing for each course.
Offered during the early evening hours on the first day of each cruise, diners can sample small plates of Remy’s gourmet cuisine and fine wine.
Head to the restaurant’s wine room to savour the first course, which involves blinis with Californian caviar and champagne.
For the next four courses, make your way to the main dining room where you’ll be presented with a traditional French dish, such as Kobe beef with turnip and potato gratin or grilled salmon with smoked salmon cream – and of course, a specially selected glass of wine to accompany each succulent flavour.
After enjoying a selection of savoury plates, the tasting experience ends with a sophisticated dessert and glass of wine inside the Chef’s Table private dining room.
The Petites Assiettes de Remy menu is priced at $50 (£33) per person.
Another mouth-watering menu on board Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream is the Truffle Collection. Available from November to February, this premium menu commemorates truffle season and features white Alba and black Périgord truffles.
Bound to set your taste buds tingling, this luxurious ingredient is infused throughout the six-course menu, which includes dishes such as seared Wagyu beef over truffle glazed baby vegetables and fresh Maine lobster paired with lobster bisque and truffle-seasoned Parisian fried potatoes.
The Truffle Collection menu at Remy is priced at $250 per person.
