To do this, the line have sought out designers that are new to the cruise in
dustry. Enter Kelly Hoppen, former ‘dragon’ on BBC Two programme Dragons’ Den.
Hoppen holds 40 years of experience at the forefront of the design industry and is one of the most sought after interior designers in the world.
Celebrity‘s decision to collaborate with her was based on her ever-evolving style, underpinned by clean lines and a sumptuous look.
The line stated on their website: “We knew that working with her and her style was exactly what we needed to make a bold, modern luxury statement”.
She is the face behind Celebrity Edge’s wonderfully charming new accommodations, including the brand new Iconic Suites and Edge Villas along with the most transformational aspect of the line’s stateroom design: the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Balcony.
Not to mention, Hoppen also played a huge part in the creation of The Retreat- a luxurious, private space comprising indoor and outdoor areas exclusively for Suite Class guests.
Hoppen has commented on her design with Celebrity Edge: “I wanted to invoke a feeling of timeless luxury that welcomed guests into their own haven.
Your bedroom is where you sleep and where you wake, two of the most important times of day, especially when you are on vacation.
It was important to create space, harmony and luxury within a home away from home setting and I think we achieved this balance perfectly.”
