Discover The Top Celebrity Guest Speakers On Sky Princess This Year

As part of their world-class entertainment offering, their Encounters with Discovery at SEA programme, in partnership with Discovery Channel, invites knowledgeable and fascinating guests on board to share their unique and enthralling insights from all walks of life.

Having just announced their line-up for the celebrity speakers on Sky Princess, which sails from Southampton to a range of destinations this year, we’re pleased to share which VIPs you could be listening to on your next cruise holiday.

British comedy

If you love classic British comedy, then you’re in for a treat a bit later this year. Stars Linda Robson from Birds of a Feather, Ricky Tomlinson from the Royale Family and Sue Holderness from Only Fools and Horses will be sharing their ventures with Princess Cruises guests. Join Linda on the France and Portugal cruise, departing April 9, Ricky on the Baltic Heritage cruise, departing May 14, or Sue on Baltic Heritage cruise from September 3 or the Canada and New England cruise from September 24.

Nature and adventure

Patrick Aryee will be providing a riveting account of his amazing wildlife encounters on the France and Portugal cruise, departing July 23. Having worked as a crew member on epic productions, such as Frozen Planet and Madagascar, and presented BBC’s Super Senses: The Secret Power of Animals, before becoming the face of Sky Nature in 2020, Patrick’s stories promise to be wild!

Sports 

From the world of sports, British World and European 400m relay champion, Derek Redmond, will be joining the ship on its Iceland and Norway cruise, departing 25th June 2022. For cricket fans, Graham Gooch OBE will be onboard sharing his experiences as one of the most successful international batsmen of his generation on the Canary Islands cruise, departing 19th October 2022.

John Inverdale will be offering plenty of sporting insight, having presented everything from football and rugby matches to the Olympics, Wimbledon and the Grand National. He’ll be sailing with the ship from 9th July 2022, when it heads to the Baltics.

Home and Lifestyle

Pick up top culinary tips from Jamaican celebrity chef Rustie Lee, who’ll be sailing on Sky Princess in the Mediterranean from April 30. Or for those looking to brush up on their DIY skills, we’re sure Tommy Walsh, TV personality best known for his work on Ground Force and Homes Under the Hammer, will be able to offer some advice as he sails the Mediterranean from 30th July 2022.

Mind your P’s and Q’s if you’re sailing on the Scandinavia cruise from 28th May 2022 or the Norwegian Fjords cruise, departing 4th June 2022, as leading etiquette expert and former member of the British Royal Household, Grant Harrold will be enlightening guests on correct and proper decorum.

Extraordinary experiences

There are some people whose life accounts have the ability to captivate the listener, whatever their interests. This year Princess Cruises have enlisted two remarkable individuals to share these stories.

From 20th August 2022, Simon Weston, former Welsh Guard and charity worker will board Sky Princess’s cruise around Norway. Having recovered from severe burn injuries incurred during the Falklands War, his outlook is simply inspirational.

Colin MacLachlan is a former SAS operative with more than 25 years of experience and has subsequently starred in Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins. Book on the Canada and New England cruise, departing September 24, and you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about his work in immensely high-risk environments.
