Details Of New Entertainment On Icon Of The Seas Announced!

In the run-up to its spectacular debut, details of the roster of first-class entertainment onboard Icon of the Seas has been revealed by Royal Caribbean

All developed in-house by Royal Caribbean, the variety of productions, including the first rendition of “The Wizard of Oz” at sea!, are set to be shown across four “stages” –  air, ice, water and theatre – onboard the mega-ship. In total, more than 75 world-class entertainers will be performing mind-blowing shows in the all-new AquaDome, AquaTheater, the Royal Theater and the Absolute Zero ice arena.

Royal Caribbean say that the venues showcase the very latest state-of-the-art technology, like 3D flying systems and robot arms that act as diving boards for high divers! Alongside high-octane stage shows, guests will also be treated to live music and rib-tickling comedy courtesy of 50 musicians and comedians also providing entertainment onboard.

“At the heart of so many of the memories made on Royal Caribbean vacations is a combination of live entertainment that’s unmatched in the vacation industry, and we’re taking it to the next level on Icon of the Seas.

If you’re a fan of full-scale productions on Broadway and the West End or live music and comedy in hot spots like Las Vegas, Icon has it all for every mood and style in one vacation – alongside never-before-seen twists only found on Royal Caribbean.”

Nick Weir, Senior Vice President, entertainment, Royal Caribbean International
