Cunard Showcases Queen Anne’s New Bright Lights Society Venue

Cunard showcased Queen Anne’s brand-new Bright Lights Society venue to agents at the 2023 CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) Conference, bringing the new entertainment venue to life.

No two nights will be the same in this intimate venue, which will honour Cunard’s heritage as the first to bring electric lights to the launch of an ocean liner.

With captivating entertainment from enigmatic performers set within an opulent Art Deco interior, Bright Lights Society has been designed to transport guests back to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s era: featuring live music, signature cocktails, and dance performers.

Agents at the conference were able to envisage the exciting new venue, sampling Cunard’s unique selection of beers, Laurent-Perrier champagne and signature macaroons. They were also treated to a selection of Cunard goodies, including a Shine Rewards Club scratch card and a branded wellness hamper.

“We were thrilled to give our travel agent partners a sneak peek of our newest entertainment venue, Bright Lights Society, at the CLIA Conference. We are hugely excited to welcome guests aboard Queen Anne when she sets sail on her maiden voyage in May next year and beyond, and it was really important for us to allow agents to sample a taste of the guest experience, ensuring they have all the tools and knowledge to sell their customers the best possible Cunard voyage.”

Tom Mahoney also introduced the evening’s performances, with a trio of acts showcasing just a little teaser of the unique entertainment that guests can expect in the Bright Lights Society venue onboard Queen Anne.

Southampton based opera company, Opera Up Close, kicked off the show bringing bold interpretations to established material. They were followed by Company Chameleon, Manchester’s leading contemporary dance company, who performed an extract from their work Push- considered a classic of outdoor performance.

Olivier award-nominated actor and singer, Amy Lennox, rounded off the night’s performances, accompanied by Musical Director Caitlin Morgan; currently working on SIX the Musical.

“It was an absolute privilege to have had the opportunity to perform at the CLIA conference, and to share my passion for music with such a wonderful audience. I was thrilled to be part of such an important event for the cruise industry, and I look forward to delivering more memorable performances at sea in the future.”
