Celebrity Cruises’ 2016-17 season will be put on sale this November, meaning deals will be available four months earlier than ever before.
Is this part of Royal Caribbeans (parent company to Celebrity Cruises) strategy in ending last minute bargain hunting in the cruise industry (Which we reported on here)?
Celebrity Cruises director of sales Nicki Tempest-Mitchell said: “We’ve been working with our partners to drive people to book early and this complements our early booking focus.
“Customer and agent feedback has told us that this is what consumers want – we felt this was an opportunity for us that we didn’t want to miss.”
Is this what people want though?
Offers will be on sale from November 11th for those in the Captains Club, whilst the general public will need to wait until November 14th to take advantage of the prices. Seven new ports are in the programme, including locations in Denmark, Latvia and Iceland.
New overnight stays are also scheduled in Bilbao, Oslo and St Petersburg, amongst other destinations. As part of the 2016 summer season, Celebrity Eclipse will return to Southampton and four other Celebrity vessels will enter Europe for the summer period.
The cruise line will allow agents to give customers extras depending on the class of the stateroom. These include drinks packages valued at $1,400 (£867) and a host of other luxuries.
The Celebrity Rewards loyalty scheme will also be made available for bookings between November 11th and December 31st on journeys over the period of January to June 2015.
