Carnival Rolls Out Starlink WiFi Across Global Cruise Fleet

Mega cruise company Carnival Corporation has confirmed that its entire global fleet of incredible ships is now equipped with high-speed Starlink WiFi!

That means that guests onboard the cruise line’s 90-plus world-class ships, including Carnival Cruise Line, P&O Cruises, Cunard, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises and Seabourn vessels, can enjoy more reliable, greater capacity and faster internet access while out at sea. Carnival say this rivals on-land connectivity, allowing passengers to stay connected anywhere in the world, share pictures with friends, scroll social media, stream, and even work remotely while onboard.

Starlink, as part of the innovative SpaceX, utilises low earth orbit satellites to connect people, and their devices, to the internet, rather than more commonly used land-based technologies.

The full roll-out has been many months and years in the making for Carnival, as the cruise firm started its deployment of the tech in 2022 on Carnival Cruise Line and AIDA Cruises ships, followed by P&O Cruises ships in 2023.

“Starlink has been a game-changer for the onboard connectivity experience our cruise lines deliver to their guests, and we’ve already seen a surge in guest satisfaction and positive feedback from the super-fast and reliable Wi-Fi service we provide onboard. We see this technology as a win-win-win – it provides our guests with more flexibility to stay as connected as they’d like on vacation, it allows our crew to stay in touch with friends and loved ones, and it enhances our onboard operational systems.”

Josh Weinstein, CEO of Carnival Corporation.

Alongside guests, staff onboard Carnival’s myriad of ships will also be able to use the improved connectivity onboard, boasting each ship’s operational and communications capabilities.
