Breaking News: A Quantum Class Ship Is Coming Back To The UK

At the launch of Ovation of the Seas, Royal Caribbean exclusively revealed that a Quantum class ship will be coming back to homeport in the UK.

This would mean that UK guests could sail from Southampton on one of Royal Caribbean’s newest and most exciting vessels.

The MD of Royal Caribbean Stuart Leven said: “I have absolutely no doubt that we will see a Quantum class ship back here in the UK — but when that will be, I can’t say.”

Anthem of the Seas was previously based in Southampton and proved a huge hit with passengers, but after just one summer she was moved to America.

The Royal Caribbean ships that currently sail from Southampton are Independence of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas, whilst Vision of the Seas and Allure of the Seas sail in the Med.

Quantum class ships are known for their impressive smart features such as the Bionic Bar, the SeaPlex with dodgems and roller skating at sea as well as the North Star which takes passengers 300ft above sea level. They are also some of the biggest ships around carrying over 4,000 passengers each.

We asked our specialist cruise consultant Julia what she thought of the news and she told us: “I had a great time on Anthem last year when I got to sail on her. She was such an exciting ship – I loved the bumper cars! My passengers often ask me when she’ll be back so I’m really excited by the news!” You can find out more about Julia here!
