Are MSC Cruises Going To Be The First To Cruise Again?

It feels like we’ve been waiting for such a long time to hear the news that cruise lines are back on the water. Well MSC has finally brought us some good news and have recently announced that they are currently planning a restart on two of their famous ships in the Mediterranean this month!

Following the implementation of brand new health and safety protocols from the cruise line after the Covid-19 outbreak, they are looking to restart limited operations onboard their flagship MSC Grandiosa as well as MSC Magnifica.

Both ships will only be allowing passengers from to Schengen (EU) to board these 7-night cruises around the Mediterranean, to begin with, but no dates have been officially confirmed yet due to these still requiring approval.

The cruise line is hoping to be fully operational by the 31st October 2020 but no information regarding itineraries have yet to be released.

MSC Cruises UK & Ireland managing director Antonio Paradiso, said:

“Whilst UK & Irish guests aren’t yet able to cruise with us, there are some great opportunities available for UK & Irish agents for cruises this winter and into summer 2021.

“We hope that the restart announcement coupled with sharing our stringent and robust health and safety operating protocol will inspire confidence in consumers who will seek out travel agents for further information and ultimately to book a cruise holiday.”

We recently received a video from MSC Crusies displaying the details of how they are introducing their new health and safety measures moving forward;

Are you excited to hear about MSC Cruises starting to sail again? Are you looking forward to getting back onboard? Let us know!
